On October 4, 2022, the world-renowned golf legend Greg Norman visited the Văn Lang Empire golf project (Tam Nông, Phú Thọ) of T&T Golf (a member company of T&T Group) for an on-site survey. Here, the “Great White Shark” made his impressive first swing.
Greg Norman’s site inspection at Văn Lang Empire Golf Club was a crucial step in finalizing the project’s design, according to the contract signed between T&T Group and Mr. Norman. Together, Greg Norman and T&T Golf will create Văn Lang Empire Golf Club — a world-class masterpiece that combines international standards with distinctive Vietnamese identity, aiming to position Vietnam as a premier golf destination.
Greg Norman is famous for a design philosophy focused on sustainability, preserving the natural beauty bestowed by nature, and maximizing the terrain, topography, and natural charm of each location to create challenging golf courses that every golfer aspires to conquer.
Văn Lang Empire Golf Club embodies these unique philosophies under Greg Norman’s brand, combined with nearly half a century of his professional golfing experience and his perspective as a Tourism Ambassador. Tourist highlights of the land of Hung Kings
Văn Lang Empire Golf Club spans approximately 168 hectares, situated within the legendary Tam Nông urban area (Tam Nông, Phú Thọ), developed and operated by T&T Golf under T&T Group’s investment. It is the largest golf project in Phú Thọ to date and is expected to become a leading 36-hole international standard golf course in Northern Vietnam.
This is the first golf project under the T&T Golf brand launched after extensive research by T&T Group into the golf industry, global sustainable golf development trends, and partnerships with leading international golf experts. Notable collaborations include the handshake with legendary golf course designer Greg Norman, cooperation with Flagstick Asia – a construction management consultant with over 90 golf projects worldwide, and renowned landscape design firm Belt Collin.
“With the support from local authorities, thorough and strategic investment, and partnerships with top global golf industry players, T&T Group believes Văn Lang Empire Golf Club will become the premier international-standard golf course in Northern Vietnam and earn a remarkable place on the world golf map. Meanwhile, Mr. Hồ Đại Dũng, Vice Chairman of Phú Thọ Province’s People’s Committee, praised Văn Lang Empire Golf Club’s contribution to the economic, social, cultural, and tourism development of Tam Nông district and Phú Thọ province. The golf club will become a tourism highlight of the land of the Hung Kings, serving as a bridge to spread and promote cultural and historical values to people nationwide and international visitors.

Beyond building a 36-hole world-class golf course, T&T Golf plans to develop a Golf Academy at Văn Lang Empire T&T Golf Club to discover and train talented and professional generations of golfers for Vietnam’s golf industry, offering access to internationally standardized golf training programs.
Mr. Lê Hùng Nam, Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Golf Association, highly appreciates the cooperation between T&T Group and Greg Norman to produce a world-class, top-quality product. “Currently, youth training centers lack proper investment and strength to train athletes for international competitions. Therefore, with T&T Group’s long-term commitment to young golfers, amateur and professional players, I believe this will become a leading training center in Vietnam, nurturing the dreams of young golfers. World-class tournaments and prestigious Vietnamese golf events will also be held at Văn Lang Empire Golf Club,” Mr. Lê Hùng Nam expressed confidence.
Looking ahead, T&T Group leaders said that within five years, after Văn Lang Empire Golf Club, the group will invest in three more golf courses linked to large-scale tourism-resort urban areas in provinces with strong tourism advantages, becoming favored destinations for domestic and international tourists. These will be regional-linked projects, driving visitor attraction for tourism, leisure, and golf.
In the context that golf is regarded as the “diamond mine” of the green economy and the Vietnamese government identifies golf development as a key direction in its Tourism Development Strategy through 2030, world-class golf courses that preserve Vietnamese identity such as Văn Lang Empire will not only become important highlights promoting Vietnam’s golf brand globally but also serve as vital bridges to showcase the country’s image and people to the world.
